weewx stops at 00:00 after changing to vantage and weewx 3.9.1

i used weewx with a FineOffset 1080 with a raspberry, everything works fine for round about 3 year. Now i bought a vantage pro2, i changed the configuration using wee_config with the --reconfigure option from FineOffsetUSB to Vantage.

I believe with weewx 3.8.1 everything went normal and the problems started after the update 3.9.1.

Now that, weewx stops after about 5 to 10 days at exactly 00:00.

After a weewx restart, it's back to normal for a couple of days

1. You did not post very much of the log. In particular, what happened at 00:00. Do you have any more?

I notice the logfile is called debug - does this mean you are running all the time with debug in weewx enabled?  Have you set the RPi to do log rotation and compression and create a weewx log in a seperate file?  Is it possible your sd card on the rpi is filling up - if you are running with debug enabled??

More log - as Tom says especially from 2355 - 0005 would shed more light on what is happening at midnight and possible cause of your problem.

The debug mode is one because of the error, compressed debugfiles are made.

The SD card has enough space, with me everything is written to a NAS.

Hmm, no archive records being generated/saved at 23:55, 00:00, 00:05 and most likely 00:10. I’d say there is a more fundamental problem here rather than ‘just at midnight’. Given this is a reconfigured system now using a Davis station, I would be stopping WeeWX, doing a logger memory dump then clearing the logger; in other words following the steps for corrupt station memory (http://weewx.com/docs/usersguide.htm#Corrupt_station_memory).

What archive interval is your logger using? You can find out by taking a look in your log when weewx starts up. You'll see something like:

the answer from wee_device --info is 600 (seconds) and

the archive_interval is 600.

Your system log is very unusual. Lots of information is missing.

• Have you modified rsyslog to change what gets logged?
• Be sure that debug=1 in weewx.conf.
• Stop, then restart weewx. Wait 10 minutes. Post the log.
