Acurite Atlas display (06099M) Data pull?

I would like to preface this by stating that I am pretty new to all of this.

I started with a Raspberry Pi and a BYOWS and have moved to the Atlas. We wanted a display for it so I opted for the package with the 06099M display and I figured I would see if I could make WeeWX work and this display work at the same time before I bought additional parts (BME280 for instance).

Is anyone aware of how to pull the data from this display? Am I correct in my understanding that it's just the newer Access hub built into a display and that the data from it is encrypted before being sent therefore isn't accessible?
