Ecowitt Gateway GW3000

Rumors say it'll be available this week. In theory it should be possible to backfill data from the gateways memory, when WeeWX wasn't running for whatever reason.

Can't wait until gjr80 has to tell something about it :)

Now that looks exciting! No backfill is for me the one downside of the GW1000, compared to the old WH1080 style weather stations.

v0.7.0 branch of the driver contains backfilling/catching up from ecowitt.net, if I don't misinterpret the commits, which is also a very nice feature. https://github.com/gjr80/weewx-gw1000/compare/master...v0.7.0_master

They sell worldwide, in the UK you want the "Europe Mhz 868" version. Believe it or not: the British islands are Europe, even after the Brexit ;)

I ordered mine from Ecowitt and it arrived today right at the beginning of the Royal Mail delivery slot. Ordered on the 13th, arrived on the 24th so well pleased.

I've set up a VM using the gw1000 driver and it works :)

It would be nice if it's built-in web display included when it refreshed itself, and I found the MAC address on the label didn't match the real MAC address! The instructions are a bit tedious as well.

Now all I want is back-filling from the SD card... Then I can run it from a UPS. That's been the big bit of grief for me since having to abandon the old WH1080.
