There is a new map in
weewx-skymap-almanac. It shows the Sun, the Moon, and the planets before the background of the stars. The background color of the map marks which part is actually visible in the sky at your location and which is below the horizon. If you position the mouse at a heavenly body, a tooltip window with additional information ist displayed (which does not work for the attached image, because Google does not support SVG files). You see the astronomical zodiac there, with the names of the constellations above the map and the constellations marked in magenta. The dotted line is the ecliptic. The coordinates are right ascension and declination, which do not change during the day.
In this example you see the Sun at 1h and the Moon at 15.7h. Both are below the horizon at the time the map is drawn for. All the 8 planets (excluding Earth) you find there.
