Hello,

I've just installed WeeWX 5.1 using the apt method as described for Debian on a Linux Mint laptop.
It appears weewx is unable to get the data from the console, I've tried swapping the cables and changing the USB setting to 3 and 4, restarting weewx, the OS, and the console.
Model: Acurite 01036

Here is what I get in the message log:

Aug 11 00:36:57 weewxd[2883]: ERROR weewx.drivers.acurite: Failed attempt 7 of 10 to get LOOP data: Unable to find station on USB

Aug 11 00:40:10 weewxd[4119]: ERROR weewx.drivers.acurite: Failed attempt 2 of 10 to get LOOP data: [Errno 32] Pipe error
Aug 11 00:40:40 weewxd[4119]: DEBUG weewx.drivers.acurite: Found station at bus= device=

Pretty sure bus= and device= should be populated but for some reason they're not.

Would anyone be able to help me?

Thanks,

Ivo

I have an Acurite and use the USB. I recall having some problem like this the first time I ran it. I think I unplugged the USB and rebooted the PI running Weewx and plugged it back in. Maybe I just rebooted. It was months ago. I might even have switched the USB port for another one. I never found out what caused it since it went away quickly.
