HI,
I try to install weewx on a raspberry pi2. Apparently the installation
goes without a hitch but the directory (and its content) of weewx is not
created. It says that weewx is started but the command "ps -ef|grep
weewx" shows no process with that name is running.
I have several times to install from the .deb package
(weewx_3.1.0-1_all.deb) with purging in between and the station
connected (I also did it without the station connected) but that has no
effect.
The crazy thing is that weewx apparently is running (after starting
using "sudo service weewx start") but I cannot see any data as the web
interface isn't available.
Can somebody give me a clue where I do something wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Joep

You probably need to install a webserver on your Pi.
Try 'sudo apt-get install apache2'

Here's a download link for an SD image for the Pi that you can burn to an SD if you want to go that route.

Well then your document root in weewx.conf does not agree with the document root in your apache configuration.

Dave,
I loade that image in my dropbox directory. However, I have a lot of stuff already running on my raspberry so
I don't want to use  a new image. Only I would like to know why the site directory is not loaded. I also cannot
find it in the files in the .deb fiel so I assume they are generated during installation. Apache2 is installed and
I have the TE923 connected to the raspberry.
as I have it also running on my workstation I can of course copy it to the raspberry but I think that's not the correct procedure.
Somebody has other idea's?
Joep

Maybe other ideas?

Hi Joep,
Very hard to help with only general info like 'it does not work'. Could you please post a log extract from weewx start up onwards.

I don' see anything abnormal but the directory weewx in /var/www doesn't exist.

Did you wait 5 minutes for the website to be built?

Yes. But I think something in the Apache2 configuration is not correct, although I have the weewx.conf copied into in the /etc/apache2/conf.d directory.
But I'm looking on and think I will find the problem (which is I think trivial).
Thanks for the replies.

unless you have something against it, I'd just use lighttpd , I just install it and it 'just works'

job done...
