ftp uppload error

hello,

i have installed weewx 2.6.4 on my raspberry. the local file creation done fine. but the ftp upload work not complet. some files dosent upload to my server. my server is a synology diskstation.
the upload with wview to the server from a other raspberry works without problems.

when in plug the raspberry into my localnetwork where the synology is it works without fails.

when i serach for this problem i cant find enithing.

Check, recheck and check again that you have entered your ftp credentials correctly in weewx.conf.

Does the ftp upload work if the ftp commands are given manually on the RPi - entering the same information specified in weewx.conf?

thank you Aandrew for your answer.

i have check the weewx.conf. the information like user, password, server and path are correct.

from the 26 files 5 can be upload without error.
the other have the error : Aug 23 08:10:34 raspberrypi weewx[5117]: ftpupload: attempt #1. Failed uploading /web/weewx/month.html to xxxx.myds.me. Reason: [Errno 111] Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt

i dont`t understanf this. some files are ok other not. :-(

I see you are still doing the FTP upload using weewx.

What happens when you try and upload the 26 files manually by giving FTP commands??  Until you can upload all files manually without any problems you can't expect weewx to succeed.

Synology website support says that if ftp connections are refused (I think the german error message translates to connection refused) - to change from passive to active ftp or vice versa.  Have you tried setting ftp in weewx.conf to the 'other' type to see what happens?  Also try a larger number of retries perhaps.

You may also be generating a lot of noise on the poor RPi usb/network bus - so make sure that all cabling is routed well away from interference sources such as monitors, computers, power supplies etc etc - especially if you say you have another Pi communicating without problems.

Do try and do the transfers manually with ftp though - since if that fails then weewx will almost definitely also fail.

In addition to the good suggestions Andrew offered (especially trying active mode), also check to see if there is anything unusual about the ownership or permissions of the files that fail. Check on both your RPi, and on the FTP server.

Hello @ all

thank you for your support. i habe test it with out any changes from a mobile network. the problem exists no longer. i have additionaly reebot the synology nas.
i`m not able to say if the nas was the probleme.
next day when i`m at home, i test it again in my locale networt.
one probleme can also be, the tracback when i`m give weewx the synology ddns adress from my locale network.
