The requested URL /wx/NOAA/NOAA-2016.txt was not found on this server.

I tried recently, today in fact, to look at some WX data from a previous year and it is gone.  Nothing prior to 2019 is on my website.

Can anyone tell me why it removed all this data?  I assume the database still has the data........

And for reference it involves the bottom button on the main index page where you click YEARLY SUMMARY.  It shows all the years the data should be there, but there are no files with the data to display.

You're not giving us much to go by.

Are the files missing on the machine running weewx? Or, just the website?

If they are missing on the weewx machine, they are easy enough to recreate: just delete the subdirectory NOAA and all will be regenerated.

If they are just missing from the website, what are you using to transfer files? FTP? rsync? Something else? If FTP,  delete the file "#FTP.last". This contains the history of which files were transferred and when. Deleting it will cause all the files to be retransferred.

If these suggestions don't help, you'll have to give us more information.

Sorry If I needed to provide more info.   All of the NOAA Files are on the local box as they should be, They are just suddenly not on the website.

I Am using FTP. So I assume I should delete the FTP.LAST.

I deleted the #ftp.last file in the NOAA directory and it did not re-send the files via FTP/rsync for some reason. I even re-started weewx.

At least I have somewhere to start now I appreciate the reponse. I Will have to resume tomorrow after work.

Look in the log. It will give you information about why the ftp upload failed.

I had TAIL running the last few times the FTP ran and it only tried to upload the last two most recent files, so I sent them up manually to the web server with my FTP program.

The debug logfile didn't provide an error message at the time the FTPUPLOAD report ran.

What I'm really wondering now is why the files were deleted off the website in the first place..........................
