Hello,

My mariadb database has approx. 1 million data records and the data goes back to 2019. This leads to a high load on the database. Are there any instructions or commands to reduce the size of the database, especially since only the year and month view can be displayed?

My sqlite database has about 2 million data records (dates back to 2007) with no performance issues. Your MariaDB database should be able to easily handle 1 M.

Tags like $alltime will cause searches of the whole database, which can be slow. But, a tag for a year ($year) should not be a problem.

There must be something else going on. What are the symptoms?

Oh, thank you very much for the quick reply. I am still rebuilding the new server and had noticed this delay again.  Archiving sometimes took several minutes and there was also an error message: This was something like something running multiple times in parallel. I will write the exact error again after setting up.

Hello, I think the problem has been solved. An old plugin was called, which was no longer installed. I have now updated the weewx.conf. Everything works much faster. cheetah needs 1 second to calculate. The load is very low again. Thanks a lot
