Subject: Showcase submission: two WeeWX stations (nearly 10 years of WeeWX) in Hagerstown, MD
Hi everyone,
I’ve been running WeeWX for almost ten years, and I’d like to ask whether my current setup could be considered for the Showcase. Thank you to Tom and everyone who has kept the project going all this time.
I now run two stations side by side on a single Raspberry Pi 3 (WeeWX 5.5.2, one instance per station):
WeeWX-1, a Peet Bros Ultimeter 2000:

https://theinfinitedesign.com/Both use a customized Belchertown skin. A few things I’ve added that may be of interest:
Live updates every 10 seconds. The Pi pushes readings to my web host through a small signed POST, so no home address or tunnel is exposed, and the page updates in place.
A layout built for phones and PCs alike, with the radar placed just below the forecast buttons and a tap-to-use lock on the map, so scrolling the page never gets caught by the map.
Extra forecast pages added to the skin: a Space Weather page (solar and geomagnetic conditions), a Sportsman page, and a Sky Weather page for observing conditions, alongside the local forecast.
Solar and Raspberry Pi health data stored in the archive and shown on their own pages.
A lightning tile fed by an AcuRite lightning detector read through an RTL-SDR with rtl_433, with the counts and nearest distance stored in the archive. It includes a storm recorder that checks the detector against NWS alerts and GOES satellite lightning data.
An internet-uptime page and an astrophotography gallery from my small observatory.
I’m happy to provide screenshots or any other details. Thanks for considering it.
