One possibility is to use a tool that comes with wview, wlk2sqlite. This will convert from wlk format to the sqlite database used by wview. Because weewx uses the same database and schema, this will make the data available to weewx.

I know this means building wview, but this is the only idea I can come up with.

Hi all,

Just finished setting up weewx here. Now I want to replace my weather display and wetaher display live setup with weewx. However I do have all my wlk files saved since a bunch of years ago and I have used Wetaher Display so I also have my data there as well. Easiest/best way to import it into weewx? I have looked around but cannot find a way forward.

Thank you.in advance

another option is to use the wlk to cumulus converter:

then use wee_import to get the data into weewx.

or you could pester gary to add wlk support to wee_import :)

I did look at adding a wlk option to wee_import last time this question was asked and from my quick look at what info I could find on wlk files it was not going to be a 5 minute job. Still aiming to get there....
