Hello,

I have installed weewx version 5.x in my ubuntu 24.04. I have imported 10 years archive data from Weather Display into weewx.sdb and I think everything worked just fine.
After I generated NOAA reports, I see they all match with Weather Display.
Except for the wind data. Weather Display obviously stores it in knots and such data made it into weewx database.
What is the right way to fix the wind data in the weewx.sdb?
At the moment, I'm not using weewx on a live system but just for keeping the archive.
Many thanks,
Peter

Probably the easiest way is to use the tool sqlite3 to scale windSpeed, then rebuild the daily summaries. Assuming your database is in US Customary units, it would look something like this (NOT TESTED, make a backup first):

sqlite3 weewx.sdb
sqlite> UPDATE archive SET windSpeed=1.15078*windSpeed

-tk

Tom, thank you for your fast reply. Conversion worked (I used 1.852) and reports are correct.
