Hi,

I've installed weeewx 5.0.0 and in simulator all is running good.
But when I switch to my Accurite (0) error appears

How can i solve this?

Thanks,
Jacques

try unplugging the usb cable to the acurite console, then plug it back in.

is this a new install, or an upgrade?  deb/rpm package?  which operating system?

this is the second 'no permissions' report we have seen for v5.  in v4, a new deb/rpm install of weewx would run as root, so permissions to the usb device were not an issue.  in v5, a new deb/rpm install of weewx will run as the 'weewx' user, so the udev rules must be in place and activated.  unless you are running an old operating system, the system should automatically detect the weewx.rules file that the installer installs.  when it does not, the solution is to unplug and replug the device.  we could invoke udevadm and trigger explicitly, but we don't want to go there until we understand which operating systems are not picking up the udev rules automatically.
