Flaky FTP

I am trying out free web hosting with Infinity just to see how the FTP and the basic skins look.  Like they say, "You get what you pay for."   The basic skin (seasons) will FTP to my web host for awhile, then stop, then start again.  Is this normal FTP behavior for a free web host?  Does the secure FTP cut down on this?  Starting to understand why people pay for a reputable web host.  So my web page some times has current data, then some times it's out of date.  Any suggestions?

You could look at the logs to see why data is not updated. If the connection fails it is likely that the server is not reliable. Or your Internet connection.
