Weather Icon

Hello,
I'm having trouble with the weather icons.
Sometimes they appear, but for some reason, certain forecasts don't.
How can I find out which forecast it is so I can perhaps add the correct name and icon? Thank you for your help.

That looks like the Belchertown skin - are you using the original skin or the new forked one?

Did you set your forecast API configuration in your weewx.conf file?

Thanks for your help. I have the original Belchertown skin, and the login and API key are also there. Actually, I see icons, but only under certain weather conditions, and sometimes I get what's shown in the screenshot. This must be due to a weather condition that isn't listed in the Aeris icon file. I'm looking for a way to find out the current condition...

Hi, you are welcome,

It might be worth checking the API dashboard for xWeather to make sure that you haven't used all your API calls up. So, go to xWeather and login using "Account" at the top right. Then click "Login" in the right hand box (API and Mapping), then go to "Usage" from the top menu and you should see something like this:

If "Accesses Allowed" is over 5,000, and % Remaining is negative, you've run out of API calls and need to wait for midnight for it to reset.

Might be worth checking as this has happened to me.

Personally, I would uninstall the old skin and install the new one as this is fully updated and the old one has been without updates for some time now.

No, it's not coming from there because I have the icons during the day. It only happens in the evening.

In the navigator's console, I have this icon during the day,

I have exactly the same problem since 2 days !

I think it has to do with Aeris/Darksky/Xweather . Sometimes the request for current contition wont work with the API for certain Locations. Check your File current_conditions.json. Has the File a current date?  Contains the File Data for your Location? Check if Current Data can be received with the API Wizard =>  Xweather - API Wizard 

Test for My Location as  a Example:

https://data.api.xweather.com/conditions/rostock,mv,de?format=json&plimit=1&filter=1min&client_id=[CLIENT_ID]&client_secret=[CLIENT_SECRET]

Per Default Belchertown gets your Location from Weatherstation [Station]  in weewx.conf

    # Latitude in decimal degrees. Negative for southern hemisphere
    latitude = 54.100684
    # Longitude in decimal degrees. Negative for western hemisphere.
    longitude = 12.086138

I don't have this file  current_conditions.json. It's normal ?

My aeris/Xweather it' s ok, API Works. 

I'm still searching, thank you for your replies.
