Uploading historical data to WU

Interesting post on wxforum today re WU. What I find interesting is not the exchange between the OP and WU per se but two sentences in the reply from WU:
“Finally, to answer your question, we aren’t presently supporting uploading data from previous hours or days. We hope to bring this feature back in the future.”
Wondering if anybody has actually checked that historical data currently uploaded by wunderfixer is actually sticking? I did some ad hoc testing a few months ago when someone first asked about wunderfixer and changes at WU and I could not get data to stick that was older than the most recent record held by WU. Did not get too concerned at the time give WU was a moving feast.

Wow. Didn't think it was possible, but I'm feeling a little sympathy for the WU. 😕
