I’m not sure the station registry is actually updating. Anyone register a station or update the URL lately?

weewx.conf:
[Station]
station_url = https://www.paloaltoweather.com
[StdRESTful]
[[StationRegistry]]
register_this_station = true

The log shows it publishing to the registry:
May 14 20:36:23 charlemagne weewx[6290]: restx: StationRegistry: Station will be registered.
May 14 20:40:04 charlemagne weewx[6290]: restx: StationRegistry: Published record 2019-05-14 20:40:00 PDT (1557891600)

Yet, http://www.weewx.com/stations.html is showing a [perhaps two or more week old] URL of http://paloaltoweather.com (Note: “http:” vs “https:” and missing “www.”.)
The stations page claims to have updated much later than the published record above.
last update 01:11:07 17 May 2019 UTC

I’m at a loss to explain this on my end. I do run a second copy of weewx, but it is not registering anything:
May 15 17:11:41 judy weewx[25804]: restx: StationRegistry: Registration not requested.

BTW, the old URL will redirect to the current URL. The reason I even noticed this is because I don’t see a preview of my site on the map entry (unlike almost all other entries). An Investigation led to this finding. Perhaps when this is resolved, the preview will be displayed.

Perhaps the URL is the key and my new entry is hiding behind the old URL. If so, I guess I’ll see it when the original expires at 30 days.

the station_url is used to identify each station.  your CC3000 is currently listed twice - once as https://paloaltoweather.com and once as https://www.paloaltoweather.com

not sure why the website capture did not work for your site - there were no failures in the logs.  might be due to the https?

the website capture and thumbnail creation is initiated when a station registers, but only when a station is stale (more than 7 days since a capture) or when there is no capture for the station.

Thanks.  Perhaps I’ll see the latter when the former goes stale.

I did investigate that.  Other https stations do have a thumbnail (e.g., https://home.zeroepoch.com/weewx/).

the website capture and thumbnail creation is initiated when a station registers, but only when a station is stale (more than 7 days since a capture) or when there is no capture for the station.
