Use mysqldump to extract the data out of the database. then edit the resultant file to get rid of the "CREATE TABLE" preamble. Then use the mysql command to read it back into the old database (use the SOURCE command).

Importing via CSV import has not been successful so far because of the date formats.  If I start weewx with an empty DB, the data is immediately recognized and transferred.
