Chinese Total Solar sensor RS485

Hi Folks

Looking at integrating the sensor above into my Weewx setup.

The problem is how! As I do not (as in cannot ) code, even to save myself, I am unsure how to do this.

Has anyone seen or written an extension / Driver for one of these units or something similar that I can adapt?

I already have the RS485 converter on my Linux box and can read out the data using mbpoll.

I am trying to learn Python but it is taking a very long time to drive anything into this thick 61YO head! I just don't get it yet...

OK so no one is willing to admit trying this before!

As I am no coder and do not have time nor the intelligence to write my own code, I wondered yesterday whether AI could help...!

The result is now in my github but does not work and frankly even with debug set to one, I cannot see why it does not work. I suspect I have missed something rather major.

Is there any chance that one of the more knowledgeable members take a look and review the code over a cup of coffee and point me in the right direction please? I must learn but I really need some help...
