MQTT and HiveMQ

MQTT noob. Following Pat o'Brien's Belchertown MQTT advice and tutorials at HiveMQ. I set up an account at HiveMQ and have been trying to hook up WeeWx but with no luck so far. 

Has anyone used HiveMQ as an MQTT broker? I'd be grateful for any tutorials or other advice.

I've used HiveMQ but not with Weewx. I use a local copy of Mosquitto for Weewx as I don't want/need to send my MQTT data outside of my local network.

I suspect your issue is security/firewall/ports/etc but that's without any evidence.

Is your MQTT data getting to HiveMQ? Can HiveMQ reach your Weewx installation?
