MQTT - Max / Min Day etc

Afternoon all,

Wondering if there is a way to add new tags to the MQTT output of weewx - ie Max Temp for the Day, Max Wind last hour etc?

I see the template can add tags but not sure how to add them so MQTT outputs them,.

Any help would be great,
