Since one year now I'm using the Meteotemplate weather template. I'm impressed with the fast growing number of blocks and plugins to make it possible to create a weather site exactly to your wishes.
You will notice no two Meteotemplate sites look the same which make your weather site very personal.
The blocks on the main page look quite impressive already (don't forget to click on the menu-icons on many blocks which reveal a block sub-menu), but the real power is "hidden" in the several menus.
You will find there (and can install yourself) various weather data analyzing templates which produce on the fly (within a few seconds) tenths of quality Highchart graphs and tables which can be exported to a number of formats to use elsewhere.

Personally I think it is the best weather analyzing and presentation software I have seen and I invite you to test it yourself.
Not to mention the very fast and friendly response of Jachym, the developer, when you have a suggestion, problem or question.

You can have a look at my website first when you don't want to setup a version for your own weather site right now..

Main features of Meteotemplate
  • detailed statistics of your weather station data using interactive tables, graphs and visualizations
  • modular structure - more and more plugins available (radar images, forecasts, calculations and much more)
  • customizable design, units, language and content
  • regular updates and new features

The template is FREE to try but if you really like it (as I do) a donation is much appreciated.
The developer has to work with very old and slow equipment and with enough donations he might be getting a fast PC...

I have downloaded and run the setup.php but I can't seem to figure out how to get the information to show up on the display. How did you do it? Can you send me a config file or something?

One of the possible methods is to install the weewxWD package and let it create and FTP a clientraw.txt file to the server where meteotemplate runs. In meteotemplate configure data input for Weather Display and point to this file.
A possible better method with use of a weewx meteotemplate uploader to a meteotemplate api is currently in test and will be availlable soon.

Will the windrose in the steelseries gauge plugin for meteotemplate be fully functional with weewx as the front end?

Can you be more specific? Which function do you like to see?

The most recent version of meteotemplate as of today (11.0 passion fruit) does't have the api function yet.
This will be available in version 12 which will be expected witin one or two weeks.

Gladly done, Jachym! But I must thank YOU in the first place for creating meteotemplate!

What was really missing until now is a direct weewx uploader to meteotemplate.
The api we are currently testing makes it a lot easier for weewx users to configure the upload to meteotemplate.
As soon as the api is available I will notify the weewx users via this thread.

Cheers, Luc
