Read Vantage Pro with python

Hello.
I have a question. Does anyone have a Python to read the Vantage Pro directly? Just as you can do with the LUFFT weather station.

Without the base station? I did that for a couple years with the Vantage Vue using a 3DR radio.

If that is what you are trying to do, wxforum has an extensive thread titled "Implementing a Si1000 based wireless receiver for Davis ISS data" that I used to get it running.

When the Vue no longer report accurately I ordered the Pro with the base station.

The Without the console sounds good. Do you have the link to this topic?
Primarily, however, it would concern me that I could directly read the console via a python script. So without a software. With the weather station Lufft there is a python script, which can read out the sensor values ​​directly.

maybe you should just tell Davis that they should provide a Python script to allow you to read the instrument cluster directly like Lufft!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your answer. I do not think Davis has any interest in being able to read the console directly? The python script described by me, I found here in the forum.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for. If it's to directly read the LOOP packets, the Vantage driver can do that. If you used the setup.py install method, it would look something like this:

cd /home/weewx

PYTHONPATH=bin python -m weewx.drivers.vantage --port=/dev/ttyUSB0
