Hi,

If I understand correctly Weewx is using init.d for it's startup script in most installations (I use two flavors of ubuntu).

I'd like to auto-restart Weewx on the occasion that I get some types of errors.  These occur mostly when I'm doing experimental dev and have code that bites the dust with certain infrequent messages that I try to convert into loop packets.

Any recommendations?

Billy

I generally use systemd (instead of init.d), where restart is easy enough.

Here's a good write up on auto restarts: https://ma.ttias.be/auto-restart-crashed-service-systemd/
