Hello,

I was thinking about migration from my old Centos7 to something newer. After checking articles about "future of Centos" I decided to migrate to Rocky Linux, but I didn´t see it in supported OS in article weewx: Installation on Redhat systems. Did anybody test it already on this OS?

Thanks for answer.

I've run it on both Almalinux and Rocky Linux.   Anything based on RHEL works.

I've been running Weewx 4.8.0 rpm on Rocky Linux 8 for a while now. Runs well.

I am testing weewx on Rocky Linux 9 and put up an experimental el9 weewx package here:

However, I have run into an issue with the SDR driver on el9. Maybe has to do with the newer Python. Not sure yet. Before I go any further, I've ordered a second sdr radio, so I don't have to take down my production system to test.

UPDATE:
Turns out the issue was unrelated to the SDR module. I was simply missing python3-cheetah and python3-ephem packages.

I'm going to have to bug the rpm package maintainer for python3-ephem as it isn't in EPEL 9 repos yet. For now, I've added the package to the copr repo I linked earlier.

I've got weewx  w/ SDR and MQTT modules up and running on Rocky Linux 9. I'll continue to monitor it, but it seems to be running well!
