There is so much good in Rotary.  And when we commit to doing good things for others, it has a ripple effect, because it is not only something wonderful for other people (the mothers who are receiving pre-natal care, or the child that receives a book to read, or the village community that now has a well for purified water), but it creates positive energy and emotion in those of us who are giving and serving.  It is said that if you are ever depressed, that you should go out and serve others.  If you are ever having a rough day, you should go out and do something nice for someone else.  If you ever want to make connections, then go out and serve.  You will find a great lifting of your heart, a clearing of your mind, and often become very thankful for what we have and what we take for granted.  Rotary is an organization that gathers individuals that want to make a difference in the lives of others - whether that is in their local community, or in a third world country halfway around the globe - so that we can work together, make connections, and find Peace Through Service.

Do you know of anyone who would like to make a difference in the world?  Someone who may be a good Rotarian?  Someone who puts "Service Above Self"?  Have them take a look at our International website, www.Rotary.org and they will be able to see all the projects that are done to help serve others, and perhaps they may consider joining millions of other Rotary members around the world to make a difference and serve others!
