Dear eClubbers,

Bad news here. Its supposed to be the day the new team was unveiled. But sickness befell Ken and he had to resign as the President- elect and from the club. Though, I have not heard from him, I have sent him an email yesterday.

This has been a bad year in terms of our membership retention. We lost Ruthie and Maria and then came another twin blow with Ken and Mary going almost at the same time.
Now we need a new team and it has to be in place soon.
I request our members to please volunteer for the 2012-13 slots for the leadership positions of
President
Treasurer
Secretary

Also the term will be of 1 year unlike our clubs earlier 2 years term. Please step forward and take the positions as we need to move ahead. July 2012 should mark a fresh beginning for our club.
You can either reply to the post and take up the positions or write to me individually indicating your interests in the leadership positions.

Thanks

Yours In Rotary,

Bharat

Hello eClubbers:

I will be happy to continue on as Treasurer, if the Club so desires/. I am hopeful that others have the desire and wherewithal to step into the other positions.

Bharat: FYI, I will be in attendance at PETS, but in the capacity of a facilitator...... Hopefully, someone can be present to represent out Club.. Jeff

Hi fellow eClubbers,
I would be happy to take on a leadership role - either Secretary or treasurer for the club in the upcoming year.  I have been in contact with Bharat about this already and told him that I am going to be chapter President for another philanthropic organization this year, and want to do that position well.  I have interest in gaining more knowledge about Rotary through the Leadership Institute, and conferences, and seminars so that I can help the club and perhaps be President in the near future.  But, it would need to be after I finish my role as President with my P.E.O. group.  So, the leadership team can decide and let me know.

Oh, and so you know - I am seriously considering attending Rotary International Conference in Thailand in May.  I may also be able to attend PETS Mar 10-12? if that is helpful for the club, though I can't give a definite until around January 1st when I decide the future of my job here in Haiti.  Two different positions down here have been discussed with me - one that is a continuation of my current job, and the second that is a Primary Educator in the first PT training program of Haiti.  Both are great for my career, but I will need to decide if I want to continue living down here in Haiti or not.  It's not really helping my social life at all.  But, we'll see.

I know that our chapter has remained a small size.  As I mentioned to Bharat - perhaps we can all put extra effort into each of us finding one friend or colleague for our eClub.  If we could double our membership, and have a good 15-18 or so members, then we would have a larger pool for 1) ideas, 2) project involvement, 3) financial support of our projects, and 4) future leadership positions.  I think this needs to be key for us in the next few months, as we seem to be losing a bit of momentum, and when members are going through a tough time - it is hard to keep our group going.  We are strong, and supportive of each other, but we can be stronger with more numbers.

Take care everyone, and have a great week!
Yours in Rotary,
Kristin

Jeff,

Thanks for committing to be Treasurer again and Kristin, I am happy to
work with you in your new role as Secretary. Hopefully Conrad will
step up as president at least for the one year until others feel ready
to do so.

Janie
