And so it goes — another year will pass us by. Now, with the final night to celebrate what was, enjoy what is, and usher in what will be drawing near, the question remains: Where to? Here are some champagne popping events coming up this week:
 
Sport Events
The Harlem Globetrotters will be in Cincinnati this Saturday, December 29! With shows at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, every age will love seeing this event that will have you both laughing and in awe of their basketball ability. The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame is showcasing two special exhibits that Cincinnati sports fans will enjoy. Be sure to visit and learn more about The Big Red Machine and the career of Barry Larkin where you can see photographs, artifacts, stories, among other things before the exhibits end. New Year’s Eve: Family Events
From 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on New Year’s Eve, Run, Jump, -n- Play will be having a New Year’s Eve Celebration! Kids will love jumping on trampolines, playing on swing sets and giant inflatables, bowling, and Glo Golf. There will even be a balloon drop at 8:00 PM! Reservations are required. The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is hosting Happy Zoo Year! From 5:00 – 9:00 PM, see the Festival of Lights, Madcap Puppet Theater Black-light Shows, meet Father Time and Baby ZOO year, and the countdown with fireworks at 9:00 PM! The Great Wolf Lodge will be hosting a Snowball this New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve: Adult Events

The NYE Bash with Marriott and Rising Star Casino begins at 3:00 PM on New Year’s Eve. Winter Family Activities
This weekend is the annual Boar’s Head Festival. One of the oldest Christmas traditions (it began in Cincinnati in 1940, but has been celebrated for over 600 years in other parts of the world) is taking place at Christ Church this weekend. This Christmas show depicts an old tradition centering around a boar’s head and will be showing at varying times on Saturday, December 29 and Sunday, December 30. On Saturday, December 28 see Let it Snow at Drake Planetarium at 7:00 PM. This event includes holiday music by singers such as Frank Sinatra and the Transyberian Orchestra. The Drake Planetarium also has laser shows for the holidays, including Holiday Skies on Friday, December 27 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, December 30 at 1:00 PM.
