I have a question on setting default background polys for a project. Happy to hear input/solutions.

I'm taking a class of 20 on a vegetation mapping project and have 5 phases that define the areas to be mapped. I've digitized these into background polygon shapes in CalFlora and assigned them to the group I created for this project. I added the students as members of this group, and was assuming I could assign groups areas in the field because everyone in the group could see the same background polys on Observer Pro. However I tested this with my two accounts and I'm seeing that each account has to go in separately and opt in to see the background polys on ObserverPro and assign them a color etc.
Is that the only way? I had thought when the shapes were created within a group and I selected their symbology and checked that they should appear on Observer Pro, that should have saved as the default map view for that group unless changed. Otherwise, I have to have each group member go in and edit their shapes which takes a lot of explaining for newbies and is time consuming.

Thanks!

Not yet, but that would be a useful tool.
