your goals for teams/tags

Hello Weed Manager Folks,

In our recent Weed Manager meetings, we've been discussing teams/tags. Calflora is now scoping the implementation of this idea. Toward this end, I'm looking for help completing a list of goals that we think/hope this teams/tags development would accomplish (whether we've already discussed them or not). Here is a list of goals so far:

Goals

1. categorize plant populations and display on a map (web/mobile) using a legend based on those categories
2. be able to identify group members by a team/organization when you don't recognize their name
3. be able to identify team/organization that made an observation in addition to the individual's name who made the observation
4. be able to search for observations based on tag names

Each WM group could create their own tags, and "teams" would be one type of tag. To accomplish the above goals would probably involve being able to attach these tags to:

1. plant populations
2. individual observations of plants
3. people in your group

Please send me any other goals you'd like to see implemented via tags by Dec 24 so I can incorporate them into the plan: pfrye at calflora dot org
