It is essential that we at least preserve the original teachings of Srila Prabhupada for future generations so as followers of Srila Prabhupada we all have to take this responsibility very seriously. At least we can not fail in handing on in tact and unchanged the original teachings of Srila Prabhupada to future generations. That is the least we can do for Srila Prabhupada.

Madhudvisa dasa My first contact with a Hare Krishna was a most merciful Mataji in Oxford Street, London who sold me a "Higher Taste" cook book in 1984 while I was on holidays there. I started seriously reading Srila Prabhupada's books in Australia 1985 and by 1986 Srila Prabhupada had convinced me "Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead" and "we should surrender to Krishna."I joined the Hare Krishnas in Perth, Western Australia in 1986. Since then I have been chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare, reading and distributing Srila Prabhupada's books and preaching as much as I can.That's my life and full-time occupation now really. I like it more than anything I've ever experienced before. Srila Prabhupada's books are so amazing... Even after reading them all many times they're still fresh and new. They are truly transcendental!That's it really. Now I'm just hankering to once again see the world chant Hare Krishna, dance and feast and float away in the ecstasy of Lord Caitanya's Sankirtana movement as it did in Srila Prabhupada's physical presence. Let the whole world drown in the ecstatic flood of love of Krishna!

Hare Krishna. I am 64 years age. I regularly read and listen the Bhagavad gita. Now I have got interest to read the Srimad Bhagavatham for Lord Krishna blessing purpose. And luckily I have here for which I am grateful for you. I feeling happy that Lord Krishna blessed me to have the same. Thanking sir for providing the Bhagavatam in Google.

I am so very grateful that I could download these soft copies. I am 70 years old, and have been reading the hard copies, (of which I have 2 complete sets of all 32 volumes), for the last 3 years. I have now reached and reading the 11th canto, first volume. However, I do get the urge to suddenly refer to some of the volumes I have read when some thought or question arises about the lilas described earlier, while cpntemplating upon them.
I do have Pocket Vedas in my mobile phone, but I find the purports therein not as detailed as the ones in the original. I usually read these while travelling. I will therefore find the above downloads very helpful on such occasions. I submit my heartfelt salutations and gratitude to Srila Prabhupad and ISKCON who have made all this valuable knowledge available in so many forms for ignorant people like me.
I wonder if the 11th and 12th cantos are also available in PDF form? Hare Krishna!

They are all pre-1977 translations, but not necessarily all first edition. So there is no problem actually with the books on PrabhupadaBooks.com but, yes, I will put all first edition versions there soon, hopefully within a month.

I have hard copies from BBT printed in India 1972 for some cantos. Are they the same as the pdfs? Sorry for asking in advance of my reading and comparing para by para for edits between the 2 versions

Greatly appreciate your service for preserving the original books. I have a question. Is BBT or whoever is the owner of the rights ok with this? Are they getting some commision of the books sold in your store? Can I quote a verse from the books/use picture from the book of Srila Prabhupada in my article on the web? Thank you. Hare Krsna.

You should read it from the beginning. It is a systematic presentation of Spiritual knowledge that develops. So you read it from the beginning and gradually progress to the Tenth canto. That is the instruction. Of course it is sweet everywhere but if you want to understand it, if you want to study it properly, then you have to begin at the beginning and gradually progress through it canto by canto.

It means, the books we get from ISKCON temples in current times are not Original books of Srila Prabhupada. If this is the case, then we should consider buying books either in pdf or in hard copy from here only

For this digital version, my heartfelt congratulations and thanks. This is indeed another form of service. I would like to request the following as many may be looking for this sort of avenue. For people who have read and re-read Bhghavatham using ABC version, going through the purports and translations are not necessary. This means, for anytime, anywhere quick reading, it would be best if there is an English version that can just put down only the English translation of every sloka. I had seen a version like this by ABC as a HTML version. But a PDF would be better Is there any version without commentaries and purports? Please let us know. Thanks.

My clear and direct answer is if you have read the commentaries and purports several times, as I have, maybe ten times, then just keep on reading the verses, commentaries and purports again and again and every time you read them they will be fresh and new and full of additional information and much deeper realization. And I make it very clear that if you are looking for a version without commentaries you have totally missed the point and do not understand even the slightest what Krishna consciousness is.

Otherwise ISKCON Bangalore may still have some sets available in India. So you can contact them directly and ask if they still have any of the 30 volume original Prabhupada Bhagavatam set available and see if you can purchase it from them.

I realy thought hridayananda goswami was a genuine disciple of Prahabupada cause at the time i met him back in the 90 s he realy was , but then again you never know someone for sure . Hare Krsna, brubhu it our duty to share Srimad-Bhagavatam to others so they too can enjoy the nectar of Lord past time, and in so doing we are coming closer to lotus feet of the Lord.

Yes. And Srila Prabhupada and the pure devotees are very pleased to appear as you read Srimad-Bhagavatam. Prabhupada is living in Srimad-Bhagavatam, Krishna is living in Srimad-Bhagavatam, and all the great devotees are living in Srimad-Bhagavatm.

l havemost of the volumes of the original text with meanings but canto 2 has been lost so.i would like to have the canto 2text so that I can continue readin and get the blessings of the lord

So you can download the PDF files you are missing from this page. We only have full sets of the books for sale. So if you want single volumes I suggest you search from them online at the second hand books websites.

Dandavats. A great service you are doing to His Divine Grace and for all generations of devotees present and future. Only read the original books, only buy the original books and only distribute the original books. We never settle for anything less. If its not broken [and surely its not], then why fix it?

I am a partially blind person. I have only one eye now, and that too has retina problems. I have the whole set of (hard copies) Bhagwatam, but the font size is small (for me). Hard copies are best, even though PDFs can be annotated. Even so Prabhu, these PDFs are going to be so much easier on my eye. I can zoom-in and read these scriptures. Much obliged. Kindly let me know when hard copies are printed in big fonts (arial -14, perhaps). I asseverate, there is great need for hard copies in large fonts for patients with compromised vision.

Forth canto was not printed in 1972. It was printed later, maybe different volumes in different years also, I do not know off hand. Why not just read the books instead of bothering exactly what date it was printed?

Please accept my sincere obeisance prabhu.. i would like to know if you can deliver a set of original bhagvatam in india and feom where can i purchase it. I have tried to look in krishna store site but that is paying in USD. So if you can help me i would be very grateful!
