Calling all WeChangeLA members ... Camp OFA is coming to the Valley

Organizing For America ("OFA") has approached WeChangeLA regarding a training in the Valley, August 29-30th. We have been and will continue to work with organizers throughout LA to make this Camp OFA a success. Camp OFA will be an opportunity to revisit organizing techniques from the campaign, build upon those skills and learn some new ones. The main focus of the training will be focused on utilizing organizing techniques to finish this fight for real health care reform. As such, attendees will be learning the OFA's field plan and forming teams in which they will organize around health care in September and October. We want to make sure that all WeChangeLA members are aware of this opportunity and can take part if interested. Needless to say organizing skills are crucial to the health care reform battle and many of the other projects that WeChangeLA takes on throughout the year. We encourage our membership to attend this training, hone your organizing skills and learn some new ones. We can work with OFA on the fight for real health care reform and strengthen WeChangeLA at the same time. It is anticipated that during this training, attendees will form small teams which will go forward organizing around the health care reform issue. It is our hope that many WeChangeLA members participate in this endeavor, meet like-minded folks, learn invaluable organizing skills and help execute OFA's field plan. WeChangeLA looks forward to a cooperative, cohesive and complementary partnership with OFA; after all, we share similar visions, passions and dedication.
