Today is the day for the DREAM Act in the 27th Congressional District. Will you take two minutes right now to help make the DREAM of higher education and citizenship a reality for thousands of deserving young people?

Please call Congressman Sherman's office at 818.501.9200 and tell the staffer that you would like Congressman Sherman to become a cosponsor of the DREAM Act.

This afternoon, along with Lizbeth, a great organizer from DREAM Team Los Angeles, I will meet with Congressman Sherman and we will ask him to cosponsor the DREAM Act. The act would give many students and young people who came to the United States without legal immigration papers the chance to earn citizenship by completing higher education or military service. We will present letters of support from CSUN college leaders, community leaders and people like you. We will tell our stories about supporting the DREAM Act, and the stories of young people who came to this country as infants and toddlers, and who know no other country, but cannot legally work, drive, or sometimes even travel because they were brought here without legally required immigration documents. Congressman Sherman's cosponsorship would help build momentum for the passage of the Act during this Congressional Session. Your call will help build the case for the DREAM Act and for their dreams.
