Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong Healthcare Payer domain expertise to lead enterprise delivery programs in a UHG/Optum environment. The ideal candidate will manage client governance, executive stakeholder communication, delivery operations, and cross-functional program execution across healthcare payer platforms and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program delivery across healthcare payer applications and managed services engagements.
- Own client governance, executive status reporting, steering committee meetings, and escalation management.
- Manage delivery lifecycle including requirements, implementation, testing, UAT, deployment, hyper-care, and production support.
- Monitor SLAs, KPIs, operational metrics, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution activities.
- Coordinate with business, engineering, QA, infrastructure, and support teams across onsite/offshore models.
- Drive release planning, platform upgrades, enhancements, and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare operational standards.
- Support digital transformation initiatives including automation, AI/GenAI, and process optimization.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Maintain delivery documentation, governance reports, RAID logs, and executive dashboards.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of IT experience with strong Program/Project Management background.
- 3+ years of Healthcare Payer domain experience.
- Experience working in UHG/Optum or similar healthcare payer environments.

- Provider Management
- Benefits & Eligibility
- Prior Authorization
- Care Management
- Utilization Management
- EDI Transactions (834/835/837)
- HIPAA Compliance
- Experience managing client-facing delivery and executive stakeholder relationships.
- Strong Agile/Scrum and SDLC experience.
- Ability to manage distributed onsite/offshore teams.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and risk management skills.
