Job Summary:
Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, within our Commercial Digital Delivery team, the Business Analyst works with a cross-functional team to implement a vendor application for multiple payment types. This role provides technical business analysis focusing on integration between the vendor application and KeyBank. This role will also take the lead in mapping KeyBank schemas to the vendor system for conversion.
Essential Functions:
· Defining system requirements for integrating a vendor solution with KeyBank’s back-end payment rails (ACH, Wire, Book Transfer, RTP)
· Data mapping of KeyBank’s database to the vendor schema for conversion.
· Requirements Gathering & Analysis
· Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business and technical requirements.
· Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and technical specifications for development teams.
· Prepare process flow diagrams and technical documentation.
· Evaluate existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
· Collect, analyze, and interpret business data using SQL.
· Present findings and recommendations through effective data visualization techniques.
· Project & Agile Support
· Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
· Utilize project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
· Support and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality releases.
· Troubleshoot issues and validate system functionality against requirements.
· Facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
· Manage stakeholder expectations and foster collaborative relationships.

Education:
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

· 3+ years of relevant experience (required)

Skills – Required:
· Proven experience in defining system requirements for integrating a vendor solution with back-end systems.
· Proven experience in mapping data from one system to another and identifying solutions when the mapping is not 1:1.
· Proven experience in generating requirements (business and technical), use cases, acceptance criteria, etc.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
· Strong team player
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Skills – Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science
· Database querying skills, including the ability to write and execute basic SQL queries to pull, manipulate, and validate data for reporting or analysis purposes.
· Experience in analyzing data to draw relevant business conclusions
· Experience in converting data from one system to another system.
· Familiarity with Agile mindset, e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban approaches.
· Previous hands-on experience with Jira/Confluence.
