Muddy waters is a place where one could easily end up by over-
analyzing web mastering. A webmaster is a business person who uses
online media to sell products and/or services. If you fit the
description, you have completed the first step of paving the road to
business success. On the other hand, if you just have a product or
service to sell, don't fret... you are still in the game. Web site
construction, maintenance, management of content, advertising,
marketing and order fulfillment for the web site are responsibilities
of the webmaster including the regulation and management of access
rights of different users of a website, as well as the appearance and
setting up of website navigation. Typically, the webmaster is the
agent who reads user feedback and complaints about site
functionality. Scripting such as PHP, Perl and JavaScript are a
webmaster’s fluent language and primary form of communication. It gets
complex with terminology such as HTML, SGML blah blah blah... Why
crack your head open just because you don't know that character entity
references have the format &name; where "name" is a case-sensitive
alphanumeric string?
Enough with the jargon!
If only I had the time to... I have to work @ my current job because
I'm barley making ends meat... I don't have the funds to invest! Blah,
blah and blah.
How do I make the web work for me? TOOLS TOOLS TOOLS! Building,
designing, publishing, promoting, marketing = profiting. Note: More
traffic equates to more profits. So, with that in mind you can realize
that getting rich quick promoted by competitors is just as lame as
building your empire over night.
Do you desire to believe in your ability to set a sound foundation
to exceed your goals?? It's good to dream... But are you capable to
manifest them? You've taken steps just by entertaining the thought.
