to Webvz: OpenVZ Web Management Tool
Hi folks,
I had WebVz installed before. There where some problems on the way,
but finally there where fixed
Because I wanted to install ispCP in a VM I´ve created with OpenVZ, I
was getting into trouble With MySql. So I had to make a fresh install
of the server. I did this today and than I tried to install WebVZ
again. It´s now the 5th time and I really go nuts by now, because the
trouble with Ruby and Gems. It was the last time the same, but I could
fix it finally by following the tutorial of Shuaib and Tobias on
Howtoforge. The on of Shuaib I was not able to find today, so I
followed the other one in the end, to fix all the errors wich
appeared.
Now I´m at the point, that it gives me back this:
www:~# gem update --system
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:9:in `require': no such file to load --
rbconfig (LoadError)
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:9
from /usr/bin/gem:9:in `require'
from /usr/bin/gem:9
www:~#
The file /usr/lib/ruby/1.8 is there
# -*- ruby -*-

#++
require 'rbconfig'
module Gem
class LoadError < ::LoadError
attr_accessor :name, :version_requirement
end
These are the lines from 1-14.
I
´m not able to getover that point
The problem is´nt in WebVZ at all. There´s a little oneIin Etch and
there is a fine workaround in Tobias Tut. But there is a hell of
problems with Ruby and Gems and I really don´t understand, why these
guys dont fix it and clean there working-Plce up. So well, think I
have to cool down.
What makes me angry about it is, that I allready at the weekend wanted
to start with the work on a layout for WebVz and I´m still stuck with
Ruby´s brocken wells on slithering rails by now.
Can you guys lend a helping hand, please.
Would be very kind.
Regards
Ralph
