Duplicate method selector

Lately, I often get this warning when editing source of an existing
method of a component.
The editor shows a red border and displays this warning in red.

It seems that WebVelocity thinks it is a new method instead of a
change to the existing.
Renaming the method temporarily doesn't help ; it remembers the method
on the error list.
Is this a known issue?; is there a way to reset this cache?

Currently, I switch to the System Browser to select/deselect the
offending method and the error magically disappears from the list.

I've never seen that - have you figured out how to reliably reproduce it?

Sorry, I have not been able to reproduce it yet.

As I mentioned before, they are removed from the list of errors but
they are still flagged red in the method list under their category
(see attachment). Trying to edit one of them again triggers the
duplication warning.
