Position: Citrix Administrator
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Qualifications:
Project Summary:
The client is currently looking for a senior CITRIX administrator to help manage a CITRIX server for their existing projects.
General Duties/Tasks:
Analyst will be expected to:
· operate either independently or as part of a larger team that may consist of collaborators from different disciplines and business units as well as other Windows Team members
· support and enhance the global Citrix infrastructure.
· troubleshoot and fine tune both physical and virtual Windows server 2003 and 2008 including the registry and Windows sub-components
· operate in a highly regulated, change control managed, environment where attention to detail is critical
· work flexible hours based on the organizational needs and be available to be on-call on a rotational basis
· be knowledgeable in Active Directory and networking in order to assist in pinpointing problems that may or may not involve the server operating system
· balance and prioritize workload and projects as well as assist other team members as needed
· Analyst may be called upon to participate in Disaster Recovery planning or exercises
Required Skills/Experience:
· 5-7 years experience supporting medium to large server environments
· Experience with multiple versions of Presentation Server (XPe, 4.0, 4.5, XenApp 6)
· Advanced knowledge of Citrix client-server troubleshooting.
· Experience with optional Citrix components (EdgeSight, Provisioning, Merchandising, Access Gateway)
· Experience with Virtual Server environments such as VMWare / ESX Hosts
· Experience Configuration, Maintenance, Trouble-shooting and Tuning of Windows server 2003 and 2008 and its components (IIS, FTP, etc.)
· Ability to interpret business needs and publish Citrix applications accordingly
· Able to prioritize work based on customers need balanced against potential impact
· Experience functioning in a highly regulated environment (Change Control)
· Ability to operate as part of an international team as well as with minimal involvement from others
· Ability to work extended hours and afterhours as needed (On-call)
· CCA, MCSE certifications
Desired Skills/Experience:
· Disaster recovery planning
· Active Director Knowledge
· Fine tuning of Windows Server 2003 and 2008
