This has to be one the cruelest games ever. I pay adobe a monthy fee and cannot find a phone number for help. I have a problem and need real tech support. At one point I actually saw a logo with phone link. When I clicked on it, it went away. I know it exist, I actually was successful in reaching a human being a couple of months ago . I need that support; does anyone know a number? The link I was sent in my previous submission just sent me to the useless website.

Same thing is happening to me, being charged and can't cancel anything online. No customer support number to be seen. Adobe has been a dying dinosaur of a company for many years, never using it again

Companies are selected automatically by the algorithm. A company's rating is calculated using a mathematical algorithm that evaluates the information in your profile. The algorithm parameters are: user's rating, number of resolved issues, number of company's responses etc. The algorithm is subject to change in future.

Can you clarify this please? Do you want this numbering convention to be on the face of the document (as in a footer)? You can configure this in the Header & Footer dialog box, and can then save it as a customization, allowing you to use it anytime you wish.

I can confirm that the new version is not showing the page labels but phisical page numbers. The old version was showing it when the toolbar was at the top not on the right side as in the latest version. Or this is a bug or there is a setting that we are missing.

assuming you're using a valid adobe serial number (6 groups of 4 numbers), you have a mismatch between your installation file and serial number. ie, you can have a valid serial number, but if it's for program A and your installation file is for program B, you will see an invalid serial number message.

common mismatches are language/region (eg, serial number is for western europe and installation file is eastern europe), platform (eg, serial number is for a mac and installation file is win), license type (eg, education vs enterprise vs individual).

and one of the most common is using a program installation file with a suite's serial number. eg, using a cs6 suite serial number with a photoshop cs6 installation file. that won't work even though photoshop is included in that suite. you must use the suite's installation file (and you can choose to only install one program from the suite).

I received a digital comic called Heart of Gold from a Kickstarter. I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat my college provides, and have saved downloaded comics many times in the past. This time I am having an issue where instead of being able to be saves, I receive a message stating "The document cannot be save. A number is out of range." No one else in the campaign is having this issue, so I think it might be a problem with the program. What should I do in order to save the comic onto my laptop?

I have to say it is the application, because this even happens with older documents. Only when I use the fill and sign does it seem to not allow me to save the filled out file. So I had to print it out, then scan the document before I could email it. I do not want to pay a monthy applcation 13 bucks a month for what maybe two or three times a year that I have to do this with let's say, w-9 file. Come on adobe, stop nickling and diming us... I really hate the fact that I am forced to pay a month subcription on your products and be force to only be able to used them when connected to the wifi. shame on you. A lot of times i am out of internet range because I often work remote locations and I can't use lightroom because its only operational when conected to the internet!

I wish to increase the number of recent files listed under File -> Open Recent File -> View All Recent Files to 50. I have set it to 50 by entering 50, going from Preference -> Documents -> Documents in recently used list: 50 -> OK. It lists only a few out of many I had opened in the same window. Someone answered a similar question and said the max number of files can be list is 9. That is rather tiny. In Acrobat Pro IX, I always saw a long list of files. Can someone tell me how to do it in Acrobat DC?

I have a large file of 1000pages that I now need numbered. I can't see /find how to do this. When I use 'Number Pages' it numbers not the actual pages but the navigator pages (the thing at the top) - I need the pages numbered. Any help I much appreciated.

I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and don't see a "Tools" menu, only File, Edit, View, Windows, and Help. I also don't see anyplace to add headers or footers. Is this a feature for Adobe Acrobat Pro only? Is there a way to add page numbers in Adobe Acrobat Standard?

Law firms and the courts have unique numbering needs when sharing discovery documents. Counsels, opposing counsel and the courts have the need to utilize a common numbering system when referring to documents.

Document sets may also be given a unique set numbers or prefixes which might include a set number, case number, firm name, etc. For example, all receipts might be treated separately and grouped into sets of 500 pages.

Because it is easy to make a mistake when numbering, you may also delete existing Bates numbers. Using the Delete function will delete all of the header/footer information on the page, even if you applied headers/footers multiple times to the same document.

We add a footer indicating the case number to the left side, bates numbers are applied on the right. When we remove the document footer, the case number is removed but the bates number remains. Now, however, Acrobat says there is no bates number found and won't remove it.

The page numbers on the document pages do not always match the page numbers that appear below the page thumbnails and in the Page Navigation toolbar. Pages are numbered with integers, starting with page 1 for the first page of the document. Because some PDFs may contain front matter, such as a copyright page and table of contents, their body pages may not follow the numbering shown in the Page Navigation toolbar.

Now, if a document does get pages removed and added frequently, navigation can become a bit of an issue. Page numbers are no longer reliable, but instead of that, it would be better to use named destinations.

When prompted to enter serial number, I entered serial number from my account history. Message indicated that the serial number was invalid. "This is not a valid serial number. Tried entering serial number (24 numeric) with both hyphens and no hyphens. No go!

How is this a correct answer. I am in the same boat as @robc71162312 !. Downloaded Acrobat XI from the Adobe website, used the serial number provided in my account settings, and I get the same error.

I am in the same position. I had to replace my hard drive and am trying to reinstall Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I have downloaded the install file from my account history and the serial number as given by Adobe, but am still receiving the error message.

In addition, I'm downloading and installing Acrobat Pro XI, but when it asks for the serial number, I get a response saying the serial number I have does not match a product installed on the computer. Every other Adobe Acrobat product is listed, but not Acrobat Pro XI.

I think it is asking for a "qualifying product"? That means you are installing an upgrade. The serial is valid but now you must prove eligibility by giving the serial number for one of the older (qualifying) products.

when starting your installation you're prompted for your xi serial number. when the installer fails to find a qualifying product (ie, previous version) installed, you will be presented with a dropdown of possible qualifying products. select the one you own. you will then be asked to enter the qualifying products serial number.

Install it as a Trial. Then, under the "Help" menu, select "Repair Acrobat Installation." It will tell you it is in trial mode and how many days are left. From here, you may click the button to license the product. You will be prompted to Sign In to the adobe Web site and enter your serial number. It seems to consistently work if entered this way.

Historically, Adobe issued serial numbers with our apps (i.e. Creative Suite, Creative Cloud for enterprise, Acrobat XI, Acrobat DC) to customers on Enterprise Term License Agreements (ETLAs). These serial numbers do have an expiration date. Once the expiration date has passed, the product will no longer work so it is important to plan your migration before your serial numbers expire. This page outlines the steps necessary to ensure your end users have continued access to their Adobe apps and services.

The AdobeExpiryCheck is a command-line utility for IT Admins to check whether Adobe products on a computer are using serial numbers that have expired or are expiring. The tool will display information such as the product licensing identifier (LEID), the encrypted serial number, and the expiration date. This page contains instructions on downloading & using the tool on either Mac or Windows computers.

Both Acrobat and Creative Cloud for enterprise apps will begin to display messages (in the apps) starting 60 days before expiration. Once the serial number expires, the products stop working, and prompt the user to take action.
