new to websockets with C++

I haven't coded anything in C++ for about a decade and I'm working on a what I thought would be a fun simple project.

I'm wanting to write a little program that connects to websocket servers on 2 different servers with 2 differerent higher level messaging protocols and write a little logic that lets users send through my program to users on the other. One sends messages encapsulated in JSON objects over a websockets, the other is AX25 frames sent over the internet and now with websocket connections too.
