Hi team,

Vaughn noticed this morning that there are typos and other grammatical messy spots in the paragraph that starts Judy's webpage. A paragraph I might mention which neither Meagan nor I saw. She must have sent it directly to Nat, and it no longer exists in her folder. WHATEVER

Chloe I am going to leave this decision to you, but here are the options:

Replace that paragraph with this edited version:

The Path Through is an exhibition in conjunction with a newly published book of poetry and paintings by the artist and Ezra M. Pryor exploring the subject of trauma. Brown has spent her life as a painter creating images as meditative spaces for the viewer to confront, process, and explore the messy business of being human.  Her practice involves writing and research in support of making these complex, layered works, believing that the more we bring personal connections to the words and images on the wall or in books, the more we can use the meditative spaces of art to untangle and heal personally, as well as contribute to our communities.

Or, replace that paragraph altogether with the paragraph from the press release which describes the show.

The Path Through
Judith Brassard Brown’s new paintings are installed in dialogue with Ezra Pryor’s poetry. The installation, and the accompanying book (by this mother and son team), offers space to engage with untangling, processing, and healing trauma. Her paintings reference scenes from everyday life such as still lives, landscapes and portraits but they do not recreate a specific location, time, or event. Rather, color and materials are energetically layered to contrast what we see with what we sense below the surface, inviting the viewer to reflect on these memories as their own. These visually striking and evocative works provide a kind of companionship, a reminder that on the other side of the dark night of the soul is a warm dawn and a day full of possibilities as we stay the course.

Thanks. Fun times!

Mary

Thank you for pointing this out Mary. I didn't see anything come through about Judith changing her text. I am fine with updating the text with the edited version. (thank you for providing that). Nat, I can go in and edit it.

Best,
Chloe
