Has anyone considered what would be needed to add websocket (from html5) to webroar?  I use webroar to support multiple applications written by students.  Each term anywhere from 20 to 40 new applications are attempted by students.  Several of the applications have generated ongoing supports (that are used well after the students complete the course).  These applications tend to be VERY communication heavy and frequently use capabilities that websocket support is intended to improve.

Is there any active interest in Webroar? I still use it academically but I am considering changing next term. The software is particularly effective in a teach setting.

Hello Dr. Frank Mabry,

I am sad to say but looks nobody(including myself) looking after WebROaR actively.

For websocket support, have you considered using some other server(Nginx, Apache httpd) as proxy?

I would try to spare sometime analysing how does websocket goes with WebROaR.

Thanks,
Dharmarth
