Dear Chinni,

The project is called "Bharati script" and aims to create an easy to learn, unified, single script that can be used to write in any Indian language, thus overcoming script barriers across states and increasing literacy.

The characters required for this script are already designed.
The technology that we have so far developed to support this script are:
          1) Bharati Font (for Word/Excel etc)
          2) Bharati OCR (Optical Character Recognition for printed bharati characters)
          3) Bharati Handwriting Keyboard (For android phones) - This keyboard recognizes Bharati characters written using a stylus or a finger in the handwriting area, and outputs the written word/character in the selected Indic language (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and so on), ie, using this app, one cannot type in bharati, but can only use bharati script to write in another language.

What we require from the web ops club, is an android keyboard with which one can type (notes, messages, whatsapp messages etc.) in bharati. The font which we have developed is in .ttf format and is compatible with the android environment.

I really don't know much about android development, so I can't gauge how much time it might take for your team to finish this, but it would be excellent if it could be finished by October end.

Thanks and best regards,
Krishna Bharadwaj M.S
