Sort search results by English

We're using our (self-hosted) Webonary installation in a classroom settings where we're teaching high school aged students. 

When the students search in the English language for 'basket' (https://nuuweeya.bombastic.org/?s=basket) the search results return a whole list of entries, which are alphabetized in the vernacular (tolowa). This causes the entry that the kids are looking for (xaa-ts'a'n basket / bowl / pail / bucket) to be listed second to last.

What we would like to do is have the results sorted by the English gloss.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I'm willing and able to make edits to the php code if needed, but after some poking around I don't see how the search results are configured (other than matching the export from Flex).
