Hello,
I've uploaded new data to Webonary, which went well, but on the link
https://www.webonary.org/mbelime/ in the box where you can
"Search" there now appears "Anglais" or "English" as a potential
search language in the drop down menu. I do have some English
language data in FLEx, but I unchecked "English" in "Set up
Analysis Writing Systems...", since I don't want to appear it on
Webonary. I also unchecked "English" in the "Upload to Webonary"
dialogue (Reversals).
I've deleted all data (with "Use cloud backend" checked) on
Webonary and re-uploaded the dictionary through FLEx but the
problem persists.
I figured out that Webonary now takes language names from FLEx. I
noticed that the language name "Mbelime" appeared in the drop drop
down menu and under "Number of Entries:" on the Webonary dictionary, which is the
English name of the language. I then changed FLEx "Set up
Vernacular Writing Systems...", to Mbèlimè, the French spelling.
Now "Mbèlimè" appears in the drop down menu on both the English
and French versions of the site. It seems Webonary can't make a
difference yet between French and English spelling of vernacular
language names, though it works for English and French.
Thanks,
Johannes
Hello Johannes,
We'll take a look at how to remove English (or other languages) from the dropdown list.
Thanks,
Peter
