However, if you have third-party security software running on your computer, you may encounter situations in which it is detected as a potential threat and removed from your computer without any notification.
UnArc.dll is located in the directory with the executable that uses it. This means that most of the time it will be found in either Windows>\System32 or Windows>\SysWOW64 depending on whether the file is 32-bit or 64-bit.
In some cases, however, malware may install itself in the system directory and replace unarc.dll with a malicious file of the same name. In this case, you should remove it from the system directory immediately.
To give you better graphics and faster play experience, most games nowadays like Call of Duty and Red Dead redemption require much storage space to run. So, sometimes you may fail to install the large game files on PC due to not enough space in your RAM memory or on the hard disk.
In addition to increasing the memory size, you should make sure there is enough hard drive space as well. Here is a simple way that can help you create more hard drive space directly. That is to extend the partition that you want to save your game files in.
Here MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition can help you to do that easily. This is a professional partition manager trusted by millions of users around the world. You can use it to perform disk benchmark, restore lost data and so on.
Step 2. In the pop-up window, drag the handle rightward to increase the hard drive space. You can also move the whole partition handle to change its location. After that, click OK.
After you extend the partition, you can try installing the game and check if the Isdone.dll error Windows 10 still persists. Well, this is just one of the most common methods to create more hard drive space. If you want to know more ways, you can read this post: 10 Ways to Free up Disk Space in Windows 10.
To test your RAM, you can use the built-in tool Windows Memory Diagnostic. Besides, you can also utilize other third-party tools like Memtest, memtest86 and etc. More detailed information you can read this post in which we provide the full guide.
In Windows Safe Mode, your computer will run with only essential system programs and services. By starting Windows in Safe Mode, you can save more RAM space and minimize the potential conflicts of third-party programs while installing games or applications.
Windows Defender Firewall and some third-party antivirus programs also block a genuine game from installing. For this problem, you can disable the Firewall temporarily to check if the error can be fixed.
If you have installed other third-party antivirus programs, you can try uninstalling them temporarily and check if it can resolve your problem. To uninstall the antivirus program, just follow the steps below.

good morning,
I'm trying to install some very compressed game packages using different PCs (for example: Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown v1.0.1 (Monkey Repack) [FitGirl Repack] and RESIDENT EVIL 2 Deluxe Edition + 9 DLCs [FitGirl Repack]).
If I use the sandboxie, a very common error appears regarding two isdone.dll and unarc.dll libraries that promptly disappears by installing the package outside the sandbox.
thank you
Hi, I tried to change the default install location for games in Lutris to another drive as the drive my OS is on was getting full, after changing the game install path and also wine prefix location I was unable to get a game to install any where other than the default location /home/.wine I changed everything back to the way is was, freed up some space and tried to install a game, which failed with an error about IsDone.dll, I had 23GB free at the time and the game needed 2GB. I uninstalled lutris and wine and renamed the .wine folder to .wine.old and renamed all remaining Lutris folders. I reinstalled wine and Lutris, I ran into the same issue with IsDone.dll. I remove lutris and wine again deleted the new folders that were created and changed .old back to what they were. I then installed wine and lutris again. My games installed piror to this issue are running fine. I installed a new game and this time used the default system\wine runner and the game installed, I then uninstalled the game and then tried with the lutris runners and ran into the IsDone.dll message again. I tried downloading a few more lutris runners and had the same problem. If I install with system\wine runner then change runner to lutris after install the game will hang or crash. The game will run fine with system\wine runner. Ive spend a few hours on this so far and was thinking about reinstalling my OS, any help you give me would be gratefully appreciated.
That half worked, I cant install using Wine-6,20-GE-1, I still run into the issue with isDone.dll, I can install using the default system runner, but game now runs when I switch runner back to Wine-6,20-GE-1 when before any new installs would crash when ran with anything other than the default system runner. Thanks for your help.
I extracted wine-6,20-GE-1, into /home/USERNAME/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/
I also tried it as you suggested and had it in a folder in my downloads called runners and pointed lutris towards wine64 When I was unable to install a game using it as you asked I then extracted to the default lutris folder. Both ways still gave me the isdone.dll error.
Did you get the isdone.dll error installing Epic Games Store? Also what is your hardware config (cpu, amount of ram and cpu)? isDone.dll errors seem common with many Windows games installation so it is not a Linux issue and in some cases is related to insufficient temp space or ram (pagefile size in Windows) or using a corrupt install image (downloaded image when game required a CD for installation).
Also, can you get a screenshot of the exact isdone.dll error you are seeing and which game you are trying to install that gives this error? Do you see the same error in Windows?
I did get the error installing epic games store. Ive tested 10 games so far and all fail to install with isdone.dll if using anything other than the default system runner. The games install fine under windows and using the default system runner in Linux its just any of the other runners that cause the issue when trying to install. The below error I got when trying to install Starbound with Lutris-ge-6.20-1
CPU: 5800x
RAM: 32GB
GPU: RTX 2080

I've been trying to make an installer by Inno Setup which only supports zip/bzip/lzma/lzma2 compression methods. I packed my archive by FreeArc (output file extension is .arc but renamed it to .bin) but Inno Setup is not able to extract it. I searched on internet how to implant arc decompression into Inno Setup but all sites refer to FreeArc official website which is dead for a while. All I need is the code to use the necessary dll files to give Inno Setup the ability to decompress arc archives plus the list of those dll files needed to do so.I appreciate any help.
This answer has been superseded by How to decompress archive file with progress and cancel button in Inno Setup using unarc that uses unarc.dll instead of driving the console Arc.exe.
For CreateCallback function, you need Inno Setup 6. If you are stuck with Inno Setup 5, you can use WrapCallback function from InnoTools InnoCallback library (and you need Unicode version of Inno Setup 5).
Unarc.dll returned error code-6, then something about social club pops up, and rockstar installer turns itself down. I have tried reseating my ram, chkdsk, anti malware, run it as administrator, move rockstar installer, change the installation directory but nothing helps. I have read that it might be due to hdd bad sectors? With far cry 4, I insert the CD disc, launch setup, and about 2% I get unarc.dll error code-7.
You've got a corrupt library on your PC, in this case the unarc dll. It's used by the installer to uncompress and install the game files. It might not actually be corrupt, just a newer version than the installer expects.
