Position: Verification and Validation Engineer
Location: Erie, PA
Duration: 12+Months

Essential Skills:-
The job has the responsibility for Verification and Validation of Locomotive Systems. that meet the customer requirements, cost & reliability expectations. It includes Verifying System Requirements, Design, preparing test plans & Performing system validation, Automating test cases and embedded software testing.

• 3to 5 years experience in testing Locomotive Systems.
• Experience in working in cross-functional test environment.
• Familiar with ISO- 9001 and CMM, CENLEC standards
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis, or Six Sigma Greenbelt certified preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with a standard communication networks and Protocols .(i.e. Ethernet, Arcnet, CAN, 802.3, 802.11)•              Field Experience, Flexible to work in shift systems• Created/Understand electrical schematics
•      Test automation is an added advantage.
•      To verify and validate requirements, design for Locomotive control systems like airbrakes, Cab signal equipment, Event Recorders and HMI, Engine management, Traction and Drives and communication interfaces (Ethernet, Arcnet, RS-232/RS485, CAN ..etc)
•      Control System experience/Automotive/Avionics Testing experience
•Lead / Participate in reviews for verification and validation activities
•   Interact with locomotive subsystem engineers to define and document system test plan and test procedures.• Should have worked on Simulators, Emulators, Debuggers
• Proven debugging skills and system testing experience.
• Knowledge of protocols, hardware schematics
•Must be willing to work on high horsepower and high voltage equipment
•Test automation using scripting languages (Python, Perl, VB)
• Work with cross-functional & global teams to meet project objectives

Desirable Skills
•Bachelors /Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engg.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in Writing Test procedures, verification and validation and System testing.
• Experience in locomotive / Automotive/ Avionics domain
• Experience with Simulators, Emulators, Debuggers
• Proven analytical, interpersonal, communication, organization, planning skills. Process focus and continuous improvement orientation.
