JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Application Developer Analyst is responsible for new
development projects as well as support activity using PL / SQL
programming tools. The Senior Application Developer Analyst is also
responsible for development and delivery of Oracle E-Business Suite
software components including PL/SQL concurrent programs, Oracle
Reports, Oracle Discoverer Workbooks, Oracle Forms and OA Framework
web pages. Development will consist of building PL/SQL packages and
procedures, views, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms and Java self-service
web pages. Development may also consist of utilizing Oracle Portal
technology to deliver reporting through our intranet and extranet
sites. This person will perform as the go to person for issue and
problem resolution in areas of expertise and mentor and share best
practices with other Developers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform Developer project tasks as agreed to by the PM related to
requirements understanding and completeness, solution proposal,
design, development, configuration, unit testing and system testing.
• Develop and maintain end-user documentation for both technical and
business users
• Deal with multiple high priority user support issues and problem
tickets simultaneously.
• Work with Specialists, Service Level Managers and Service Providers
to refine and improve incident resolution time targets e.g. what steps
to take next, which route to investigate first, who to talk to next,
etc.
Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information
Systems, or other related major, preferred.
• Graduate coursework desired.
EXPERIENCE:
• 6-10 years IT experience required, including:
1. A minimum of 4-8 years experience developing solutions with Oracle
tools
2. A minimum of 2 years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite is
required.
• Experience with OM and Procurement modules preferred.
• Exposure to Financials and Supply Chain Oracle modules is a plus.
• eCommerce/Integration experience is preferred
• SOA and BPEL experience a plus. Must be willing to learn Oracle SOA
Suite 11g.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Oracle Certifications preferred
• ITIL Certification a plus but not required
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must have strong analytical, organizational and problem solving
skills
• Must possess a proven ability to participate in projects and help
ensure completion on time with high quality
• Good adaptability/flexibility and teamwork
• Ability to think creatively and implement ideas
• Should be detail and results oriented and possess an ability to work
with minimal supervision
• Understand and apply project life cycle process to effectively
deliver the business solution
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of multiple technologies, package
modules, languages, etc.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Information Technology processes and
methodologies (e.g. SDLC).
• Assess situational needs and apply the necessary communication and
analytical competencies when interacting with customers and project
team members.
• Upon hire, demonstrate a deep understanding and expertise with the
techniques and tools being used at client place e.g. ITIL, HP Service
Desk (HPSD), knowledge repository, FORT (intranet), etc.
