Hi all,
When I try to load Weblocks into the Lisp image in LispWorks Personal
5.0.1 I get the following error:

component :DEFSYSTEM-COMPATIBILITY not found, required by
#<ASDF:SYSTEM "metatilities" 200D638F>

and everything grinds to a halt, yet I have "defsystem-
compatibility.lisp" in my metatilities directory and Lisp. What is it
that I am missing?

Thanks for your kind help.

Harrison.

Do you have the ASDF system named thus?

http://common-lisp.net/project/cl-containers/defsystem-compatibility/

Hello Leslie,

I didn't have it. Thanks for the pointer. However, after installing
the system, I still get another problem on load:

"Reader cannot find package HUNCHENTOOT-MP."

And when I say "treat as successful" I get:

"The file #P"C:/Program Files/LispWorks Personal/Lisp Libraries/
weblocks-stable-dda788021721/src/server.ofasl" does not exist."

After the same option as above (i.e. treat as successful) LispWorks
drops me here:

"erred while invoking #<ASDF:COMPILE-OP NIL 21984E5F> on

#<ASDF:CL-SOURCE-FILE "dialog" 219149E3>"

And then:

"The file #P"C:/Program Files/LispWorks Personal/Lisp Libraries/
weblock

s-stable-dda788021721/weblocks-stable-dda788021721/src/control-flow

/dialog.ofasl" does not exist."

Then:

"The variable *PUBLIC-FILES-PATH* is unbound."

And here things break completely.

I downloaded weblocks sometime before I got Hunchentoot 1.0. Could it
be that my version of Weblocks is incompatible with Hunchentoot 1.0?

Can I still get a new Weblocks as a zipped folder or a tarball? I
prefer it that way.

Thanks in advance for your patience and kind help.

Harrison.

That (hitting the accept restart) is almost never a good idea,
unfortunately. You're basically just delaying your doom here. ;)

Yes, indeed.

Here's a zip of latest -dev:

http://bitbucket.org/S11001001/weblocks-dev/get/73ba8489a2d5.zip

I would normally point you at -stable but the current stable
has its own quirks.

Just report any problems you get with -dev to us and we'll
fix them.
